Thank You Poem
Thank You For The Pain
Author: Dana Tyrrell
See this heart 'twas built from stone My palace, my fortress and mine alone Left empty and in ruins In the dark and disarray The ghosts of my past, now here they stay This wasn't always it's state Until one fateful day When with shock and a gasp You strangeled my heart with your venomous grasp You thrust it upon the floor and thus proclaimed: That my soul was tortured, crippled and maimed Dropping a glare of spite as you fled I stood and watched as my lonely heart bled Replace this weak heart with a new one instead A palace of stone now stands in it's place A monument to lonlieness.
