Thank You Poem
Thank You For Being True
Author: Unknown
Thank you For always knowing what to say, For manipulating things to go your way, And when they don’t, Forgetting about it anyway. Thank you, For being so completely real, For not always knowing what you feel, For hurting your own heart over and over, And then knowing what to do to make it heal. Thank you, For believing in yourself but not saying that you do, So that I have a chance to say that I believe too, And for making me able to trust, That all the things that you say are true. Thank you, For being my perfect kindred spirit, For not judging me on the things that I admit, For not expecting back what you give to me, But feeling good when you receive it. Thank you, For being natural, And unnatural, And supernatural, For being wild, And creative, And stilted, And spontaneous. Thank you, For knowing what to do when I’m crying, When I feel like I’m dying, For having been there before yourself, And where I’m stumbling, you’re flying. Thank you, For touching my mind and making me grow, For teaching me, since I met you, everything I know, For exploring me to my very core, And for showing me always where to go. Thank you, For thinking that you owe me one, or two, or three, For not realising what you’ve done for me, For making me laugh, and cry, and laugh, And for opening my eyes so I can see. Thank You!
