A Mother

A mother is filled with love, 
A mother is filled with compassion, 
A mothers' light is shown within her passion, 
Subtle and soft, 
Sweet and kind, 
Quick and hared, 
Yet that mother is mine, 
Fragile as a flower, 
Hard as a rock, 
She has no time, 
There is no clock, 
She ages in beauty, 
And shines from within, 
And in my arms a new life begans, 
As she watches her shine slowly wither, 
The light she's given me will forever shimmer.
